JUCY Cruise Milford Sound

Milford Sound Visitor Centre (Terminal and Boat Harbour), Milford Sound Highway, Milford

The Milford Adventurer was the first boat to sail under the JUCY Cruise name in 2011, but two years later it was time to move on to bigger and better things. Launched in 2013 with a capacity of 300, the 24-metre Maiden of Milford catamaran gives savvy travellers the chance to experience magical Milford Sound without breaking the bank.

The Cruise family grew by one boat in 2017, with the introduction of the Gem of the Sound. This new luxury-class catamaran provided a premium option for Cruise customers, taking Milford Sound cruising to new levels. The 29-metre vessel has expansive glass roofs, as well as external and covered decks and smart dining facilities. The Gem of the Sound can accommodate up to 230 passengers, but capacity is capped to ensure a quality premium experience for all on board.

Today, we operate our coach tours and cruises every day of the year, rain or shine!

We offer the choice of four cruise departures during the summer and three in the winter during which we provide a relaxed and informative commentary.

It is very rare for us to cancel due to weather and when it does rain (as it often does in Milford) torrents of water will pour into the fiord from thousands of temporary waterfalls, the ideal time to be in Milford! If you’re fortunate, you’ll enjoy rain and sunshine together which can create the most beautiful rainbows.

Please note: Milford Sound is approximately 4 hours drive from Queenstown or 2 hours from Te Anau.
